Since we have no sugar in our household, and we try to avoid it everywhere else, I always try to find new recipes for cakes, candies and pies.  I have never tried to make an actual chocolate till I found this simple recipe online.  I modified it a little bit and was very pleased with the results.

Here is what you will need.

 

1/2 cup almond butter

1/3 cup of organic cocoa

6 table spoons of coconut butter, or coconut oil.  You can also mix them up.  I use 3 spoons of each.

3 table spoons of honey (you can vary the amount of honey depending on your taste)

Either hazelnuts, or raising.  Play with the amount and see what suits you the best.

How to make

Mix all the ingredients together by using either food processor, or just a simple fork.  If you decide to add coconut butter, melt it before adding to the mix.  I used tiny cupcake forms and ice trays to create several different shapes. Put them in the freezer and your chocolates will be ready to eat in about two hours!
